Wooden butter mould
The butter mould is finally back! Impress your dinner guests or just have fancy breakfast with real butter in a beautiful arrangement. A butter mould is traditionally used for Christmas and for special celebrations, so now you can jump at the chance at reintroducing an old tradition, or trying your hand at something completely new!
This is how you do it
- Leave the butter mould (unfolded) submerged in water for about two hours (this is so it does not stick to the butter)
- Use real(!), room temperature butter to fill the "walls" and the lid (use a spoon to press down properly)
- Close the mould and fill the remaining room with butter (get it into all the nooks and crannies)
- Leave the mould in the fridge until the butter hardens (preferably overnight)
- Take the mould carefully off the butter that should now look wonderful - bon appétit!
Wash by hand. Towel dry immediately.
