Norse god Heimdall

In Norse mythology, Heimdall is one of the Æsir, the gods. He is their guardian, watching over the bridge Bifröst, which leads to Asgard. Heimdall’s home is near the end of the bridge, called Himinbjörg. He is a powerful and sacred god who can see for hundreds of miles, hear the grass grow, and even hear the wool growing on a sheep. He is said to need less sleep than a bird, has teeth of gold, and rides a horse named Gulltoppr. At the beginning of the battle of Ragnarök, Heimdall blows his horn, Gjallarhorn, which can be heard throughout the entire world, calling all the Æsir to the final battle against the forces of chaos.
